I have been a finance professional for 25 years, serving as head of finance for a small company, as an investment banker, as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and most recently I served institutional investors for over 14 years at BNY Mellon Investment Management.
I believe that my experience in serving the world’s largest investors brings valuable insights even for those of us that don’t have billions to invest. The same things that help large investors to succeed, like well thought out asset allocation, low costs, deep market insight, and equal attention to risk and return are critical to the success of individual investors as well.
In founding Plum Street Advisors, LLC, Jamie and I share a vision of building a client- first financial planning firm on a strong ethical foundation. We don’t answer to shareholders or corporate parents – we answer only to you, our clients. We don’t sell products, we offer professional analysis and advice.
I have served on the board of several nonprofits as treasurer, finance team member, and investment committee member and have had a special interest in establishing endowment and budget policies. I am a Town Meeting member in Needham, MA and serve as a Deacon of the Congregational Church of Needham.
I graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Economics and from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a Masters in Management. My wife Katy and I live in Needham.
